Top Cruise Tips - This is my last night at sea and my last night in a stateroom cabin on the MS Oosterdam. I started drinking French Champagne at 3.30pm to celebrate on my small deck as we majestically cruised out of Napier Harbour heading to Wellington via the Cook Strait. My tips for taking a cruise are:

work out by walking or swimming regularly.

regulate what you eat.

drink good champagne.

Buy a bottle of wine at your ports of call for your room.

take in a range of onboard classes.

Use your expensive internet minutes wisely.

read up on your ports of call in advance.

make new friends onboard.

bring sea leg tablets.

10. dress up on formal nights and boogie the night away.
